PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Florida Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies game Saturday has been postponed by rain. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday but was moved to Saturday afternoon as part of a split-doubleheader because of Hurricane Irene’s expected path up the East Coast. The night game was already postponed Friday night and both games will be made up as part of a split-doubleheader on Sept. 15. The first game will begin at 2:35 p.m. and the second at 7:35 p.m. Beginning with Monday’s game at Cincinnati, the Phillies will play 33 games in 31 days without a day off to finish the season.
